There’s a café that could probably claim the title of having the best view in New York. It’s located on the 64th floor of One World Trade Center. And since it has no competition inside the building, its name is as simple as it gets — CAFÉ.
On the one hand, you can only get there if you work at the WTC or are invited by someone who does. On the other hand, once you’re inside the tower, access to the café itself is unrestricted. You can grab a light meal or a coffee and spend some time by the window.
Prices are slightly below market level (a cappuccino is about $4.25, for example), and the quality was never meant to compete with the city’s best cafés anyway — people don’t come here for the taste of the coffee.
You also won’t be leaving a review: the place isn’t even listed on Google Maps. But if you manage to visit at least once, it’s the kind of spot that stays with you.
