Even those far removed from the world of fashion should consider visiting the newly renovated Longchamp boutique in SoHo. It’s not just a store — it’s a true work of art, often referred to as La Maison Unique (“The Unique House”). Longchamp’s signature Le Pliage bag — with its elegant design, minimalist shape, and leather flap — is already a global icon, and now the brand’s flagship store has received a new architectural expression.

Longchamp SoHo — La Maison Unique
The boutique has been part of the SoHo neighborhood for many years, but in 2025 it underwent a complete redesign. The project was created by renowned British architect Thomas Heatherwick, known for his landmark New York works Vessel and Little Island.
The main concept behind the renovation was to blend architecture, art, and the brand’s philosophy, creating a space that tells the story of Longchamp through form, color, and detail.
The centerpiece of the new interior is a spiral staircase, visually resembling a stream of green lava flowing from the upper floors to the ground level. The staircase had existed before, but in the 2025 version it was reimagined in Longchamp’s signature Lumière Green. This bright green became the defining accent of the updated space, symbolizing energy, renewal, and a contemporary interpretation of the brand’s heritage.

Collection and Experience
The flagship boutique offers the full range of Longchamp products:
- women’s and men’s bags, including the iconic Le Pliage;
- leather goods and accessories;
- clothing and footwear;
- travel items.
The space combines elements of a retail showroom, gallery, and art installation. It’s a place not only to shop but also to enjoy architecture, design, and atmosphere — every detail is carefully considered. Even without making a purchase, a visit to the boutique is a visual experience in itself — ideal for those who appreciate aesthetics and distinctive urban spaces.
