I sincerely believe that Bryant Park is the most beautiful urban park in the world.
It is named after William Bryant (1794–1878), an American poet and journalist who became one of the first figures to gain nationwide recognition. He also loved cities and actively promoted the idea of public spaces and parks.
From November through January, Bryant Park Winter Village opens: the green lawn turns into a free ice-skating rink, surrounded by stalls with mulled wine, twinkling lights, small shops, and a truly fairytale atmosphere.
My favorite summer combo is to grab takeout from the nearby Whole Foods and have lunch right in Bryant Park.
