Visiting White Rabbit’s Books

This is a children’s bookstore (with books in Hebrew, Ukrainian, English, and Russian) and a great place for meetups and engaging lectures.

We got lucky: our correspondent attended a talk by Dmitry Popov, a curator at the Roerich Museum in New York.

It was incredibly fascinating to immerse ourselves in the world of the entire Roerich family and in New York of the 1920s, when all these events were taking place. And to ask probably a dozen questions, since the intimate format of the space is perfectly suited for dialogue.

If you haven’t been to White Rabbit yet, January and February offer three great excuses to stop by. The team is always putting together thoughtful, well-curated events. For example:

On February 7, FILM CLUB. October (1927), directed by Sergei Eisenstein.

On February 15, How Many Animals Can Fit in This Book? Read-Aloud & “Create Your Own Animal” Collage Workshop with Natalia Yaskina.

On March 7, Cockroach Soup and Other Poems for Kids. Poetry and Art Workshop for Children 4-8 y/o.
